App Installation Screen

This screen allows the system user to apply restriction to the device that will prevent the mobile user from installing specified apps.

NB App names are the names of the apps the mobile user sees E.g. Auto trader, whereas package names is the internal name of the app Android uses E.g. uk.co.autotrader.

There are two lists on the left hand side of the screen, these lists are the whitelist and blacklist lists and contain all the apps currently on the device. The whitelist is the exception to the blacklist, so if all apps were to be blacklisted on the device, the system user could add one app to the whitelist; This would mean all apps are blacklisted except the one app in the whitelist.

The lists on the left have the usual check tick and the upper most check tick will select/deselect the entire list.

Get All Apps

This allows the system user to retrieve all the apps currently installed on the device.

Add apps To Blacklist Once the system user has select the apps to add to the blacklist, Add Apps To Blacklist button will add them to the blackliist on the device. The Blacklisted Packages list on the right will update to show the blacklisted packages.
